GPProjects Brief Corporate History

GPP first started in 1994 providing event management and lighting design services.

During 1997 / 98 we had close collaboration with the Special Projects department of Midnight Design Ltd. where many one off special products were designed and built.

It was in 1998 that we were contacted by one of our clients to design a custom DMX control product and this gave birth to the Projects division. This part of the business has now taken over from the productions arm to become the main focus. We now specialise in contract design of electronic products to the sepcification of our customers.

Through our project work GPP has now built up a portfolio of products that we have retained the rights to. Some of these are now offered for sale in their normal form and can be purchased directly from this website. However we also offer a customisation service at a very reasonable cost to provide our customers with exactly the products that they need.

Today GPP currently has a team of experienced engineers who between them cover a broad range of electronic design disciplines including:

• Product design & realisation
• Printed Circuit Board design & manufacture.
• Digital & Analogue electronics design
• Microcontroller & Microprocessor designs
• Communication stack implementation
• Radio Frequency design

We are keen to develop technically challenging projects and are ideally placed to offer expertise in the low voltage electronics side of any new product. Our preference is to focus on the following application areas:

• Wired Communications Protocols - RS232, RS422, RS485, USB, Ethernet
• Control Network Solutions - Point to point, Hopping, Tree and Mesh networks
• User interfaces - Graphical, Touch Sensors, LCD etc.
• Lighting Communications Protocols - DMX512, DMX512-A, DMX over Ethernet
• Wireless Communications Protocols - GSM, SMS, IEEE802.15.4, ZigBee, Bluetooth, WiFi, IRDA
